As the California International Airshow takes to the skies in Salinas from September 27th-29th, 2024, MPI Jet is proud to fly the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds flight team to this iconic event. With several of our pilots having served in the military prior to joining MPI Jet, flying alongside these elite aviators is not only a professional privilege but a heartfelt honor.
One of our valued pilots, Terry Norbraten, served 22 years in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Navy Flying Club in Monterey. His dedication to aviation and service is just one example of the strong connection we feel to this incredible mission. Read more about Terry’s story [here]. James Garamendi, MPI Jet's president, served in the U.S. Army’s Priority Jet Transport Unit where he was responsible for the travel of foreign and domestic officials and diplomats. It brings our team great honor to have the opportunity to give back to an industry that continues to safeguard our freedoms.
The California International Airshow has been a Central Coast tradition since 1981, and this year marks its 43rd anniversary. The U.S.A.F. Thunderbirds, the show’s headlining act, will showcase their world-renowned precision, discipline, and mastery of flight. With the F-16 Fighting Falcon at their command, these remarkable pilots demonstrate the unparalleled skill and training that make them the pride of the Air Force.
From breathtaking solo routines to flawless four-ship Diamond formations, the Thunderbirds bring the power and grace of the F-16 to life. Their dazzling performance is more than just an aerial display—it’s an inspiration for future aviators and a tribute to the dedication of our armed forces.
For MPI Jet, supporting the Thunderbirds on this mission is a great honor. We’re committed to offering premium private charter services that reflect the same level of precision and professionalism displayed by the Thunderbirds. Flying between Salinas and other Central Coast locations, we proudly serve clients seeking luxury and reliability. This is more than just an airshow—it’s a salute to all who continue to protect the skies.
We’ll see you at the show!
